BACK IN BLACK!!

2010

9-11

Tailgate VS. Western Illinois

 2009

Sept. 5th VS. Toledo (Opening day RBT chicken)(win) 52-31

Sept. 19 VS Northern Ill. (LOSS) 21-28

Sept 26 VS Notre Dame (October fest)(LOSS) 21-24

October 3 VS Northwestern (Burgers) (LOSS) 21-27

October 17 VS Ohio State

October 24 VS Illinois

November 14 VS MIchigan State

Purdue VS. Toledo (WIN) 51-31 - Coach Hope 1-0 - (100%) in last 1 games. Offensive line dominated...Bolden ran for 234 yards, Taylor ran for 81 yards...Purdue rushes 39 times for 315 yards. Defense gave up 423 yards passing...no pressure and a soft zone behind it. Nice warm day. I like Nord as a offensive coordinator...not sold on the Defensive coordinator.

Purdue @ Oregon (LOSS) 36-38 Coach Hope 1-1 - (50%) Purdue is not talented enough to have awful turnovers.

Purdue VS. NIU (LOSS) 21-28 Coach Hope 1-2 - (33%) Purdue is not talented enough to not play hard

Purdue VS. Note Lame (LOSS) 21-24 Coach Hope 1-3 - (25%) Purdue is not talented enough to overcome horrific coaching blunders

Purdue VS. Northwestern (LOSS) 21-27 Coach Hope 1-4 - (20%) Purdue is not talented enough to turn the ball over @ every opportunity.

Purdue @ Minnesota (LOSS) 20-35 Coach Hope 1-5 - (16%) - Turnovers! Horrific Special teams!

Wally's Spring Game report:

They changed the format of the game, from Black vs. Gold to Offense vs. Defense and overall I think it worked out for the best.  They only kicked off and punted a couple of times, so there were a lot more plays in less time.
Coach Hope was a lot more involved than Joe had been in the past.  He basically stood behind the offense the whole game and yelled instructions, etc..  Although recruiting rankings aren't a science, if you continually finish at the bottom its going to show on the field and you aren't going to be successful (i.e. current situation), so in the end that will be the key to his success and not his enthusiasm.
QB's : Joey throws the 5 yard out pass really well, and when he rolls out he can get the ball down field.  If he tries to throw over the middle or down field from the pocket, it gets batted down or looks like a wounded duck.  Terbush looked better than Joey during the first two series, but seemed to get worse after that (INT, Fumble).
RB's : Bolden looked good on a couple of runs and showed some speed.  Dierking can get you 5 yards if there is a hole, but nothing if there isn't one.
WR's : Slow, short, not very athletic and that's some of their good points.
O-Line : Looked okay.
D-Line : Batted down several passes, but did not get much pressure on the QB's.  They did not appear to do much blitzing (if any), and the offense threw a lot of short passes, so I don't think they had a lot of opportunities.  Had a couple of fumble recoveries.
LB's : Nothing special to report, looked okay.
DB's : Picked off one pass and had good coverage most of the time, but then again they were facing a lot of short passes.
Special Teams : For a point of emphasis according the J&C, they did not look very good.  As usual, they missed the easy 30 yard field goal and made the hard 45 yarder, and the punt and kickoff return team looked bad.
Six wins from this team would be a miracle, three or four would be most likely.  It looks like another long season with a lot of short passes.  On the plus side, if we have two bad seasons in a row maybe they will start treating us like paying customers again and not sheep to be sheared.
Wally.

Next Tailgate 2008

Sept. 6 - NORTHERN COLORADO (WIN) 42-10
Sept. 13 - OREGON The Ducks (Jimmy Buffet Day)(LOSS) 32-26
Sept. 20 - CENTRAL MICHIGAN Again? (Band Day/Family Day) (WIN) 32-25

Oct. 4 - PENN STATE (Okctober Fest) (LOSS) 20-6

Oct. 25 - MINNESOTA (Homecoming/Varsity P Club Weekend) (Cowboy Day??) (Steel Reserve lives??)(LOSS)

Nov. 1 - MICHIGAN (New Big Ten Spread attack)(WIN) Mardi Gras Niccoles Gumbo!(GUMBO beats Meatchicken!)

Nov. 22 - INDIANA (The Bucket is home sick)(WIN...worst beat down in 100 years!) (Kick the shit out of IU and get our damm bucket back day)(RED DEATH CHILLI!!!!!)

Purdue VS. Northen Colorado (WIN) - 42 - 10 / 24 - 22 in last 46 games (.521%) Painter still looks like Painter just like last year and the year before that...yadda yadda yadda...The offensive line still looks like the offensive line....Defense looks a little faster maybe...Will they hold up against a decent team? Now we see what we have with the Ducks comming to town for Jimmy Buffet day.

Purdue VS. Oregon (LOSS) - 32 - 26 / 24 - 23 in last 47 games (.510%). Painter is who Painter is. We have been saying that since his Soph. year! Defense played well enough to win...Running game was effective enough to win...Special teams had some breakdowns...I would get Joey Elliot or Siller or TerBush ready for next year. Good effort fellows!

Purdue VS. CMU (WIN) - 32 - 25 / 25 - 23 in last 48 games (.520%). Which QB would you want to have? Who looked more physical? Throw deep more...Run more..if you can that is...I like how CMU plays to win. Who had more yards rushing? Who ran more plays? Who held the ball longer? Ball State beat the shit out of IU. Nice Run Kory!

Purdue @ Notre Dame (LOSS) 38 - 21 / 25 - 24 in last 49 games (.510%) Joe has been mailing it in the last couple of years with the results you see. Notre Dame is a poor team. Sheets runs for almost 7 yards a carry - Coaching staff wants to pass 50 times intead? WTF! Brock Spack makes ZERO adjustments! ZERO! SHould have fired him at the press confernce. IS the season over? Did it ever start? WIll Hope clean house? Will Penn State drop 50 on Tiller/Spack? Will Ohio State drop 60? Will we beat IU? 103rd out of 119 is NOT a DAM LIE GBI! BE the authority that you claim you are and demand a QB change! Demand Spacks firing! Worst loss in Tillers Tenure. Tell it like it is - UGLY!

Purdue VS. Penn State - (LOSS) 20 - 6 / 25 - 25 in last 50 games (500%) We need BigTen players - NOT WAC players. Play Joey Elliot or Siller @ QB. Painter has been done for years now. My John Purdue club membership helps pay his scholership? Or maybe it is used for his hiesman campaign? Hope - you have a long hard road ahead. Thank god for Kory Sheets. Why isnt he being pushed for hiesman? I mean what the hell?

Purdue @ Ohio State - (LOSS) 16 - 3 / 25 - 26 in last 51 games (.490%) The defense played with heart and fire. Before we say they have turned it around...Ohio State is 94th in the nation and 10th in the Big Ten in Total Offense, 108th in the nation and 11th in the Big Ten in Pass Offense. Lets see VS the Cats. Is Starting Painter and playing him at all a middle finger to the fans? What else could it be?

Purdue @ Northwestern - (LOSS) 48 - 26 / 25 - 27 in last 52 games (.480%) Just give the ball to Kory. Rapidly aproaching the Joe Tiller era can't end soon enough talk. Danny Hope needs to Blow the shit up and start over. Why did we not learn from the Gene Keady retirement lap while the program bottoms out plan? We should be able to do any damm thing we want at tailgating! Tree in your way? Cut it down! Pull on to the golf course when ever you want! 6:00AM? Sure! BAttle for the BUcket to decide worst team in the bigten...ahhh the good ol' days!

Purdue VS. Minnesota - (LOSS) 17 - 6 / 25 - 28 in last 53 games (.471%) Has the Justin Siller era begun? Joe road off into the sunset 3 years ago which lead to recruiting classes which ranked 50th, 59th and 63rd in the nation. Game over player one.

Purdue VS. Michigan - (WIN) 48 - 42 / 26 - 28 in last 54 games (.481%) The Justin Siller era starts with a bang! Will Purdue fans riot if painter plays at all for the rest of the year? Who do you think D. Hope wants to start? I am starting to have serious reservations about Painters Hiesman chances. Siller and Sheets are men. What would our record be if Siller started all year?

Purdue @ Michigan State - (LOSS) 21 - 7 / 26 - 29 in last 55 games (.472). Michan State is a good team Purdue is not. Michigan State had a lot to play for Purdue did not. Does anyone listen to Tiller anymore? Cant wait for the Bucket battle...most important bucket battle in years.

Purdue @ Iowa - (LOSS) 26 - 30 in last 56 games (.464%) Purdue never gave up.

Purdue VS. Indiana - (WIN) 62 to 10 - 27 - 30 in last 57 games (.473%) Worst beat down since 1893! The state of Indiana and the college football world can relax the Bucket is back where it belongs! I hope IU finally learned a lesson...dont touch what is not yours and you won't suffer a terrible beatdown. Did you see the game the IU players Knew they screwed up last year and could not get off the field fast enough! Jeeez at least try! Was the lesson learned? IU do NOT touch Purdue's stuff!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2007 tailgate year (other wise known as the season of the fence) is over. Thanks to all those who played their part.

2007

@ Toledo (WIN) 52-24 - 16 - 17 in last 33 games (.484%) Great Start. With the "Boiler up" Curtain between us and practices and scrimages it was hard guessing what to expect going into this game. We thought the offensive line dominated, Sheets and Taylor ran hard, receivers made plays (Orton had a monster catch) and Bryant showed the Rockets his speed. Defense was OK....Toledo droped some balls that helped and had some stupid penalties. Coverage needs to get better and tackling needs to get better. Curtis Painter looked the same as last year. Great Start!

East Illini (WIN) 52 - 6 - 17 - 17 in last 34 games (.500%) Good win for the Boilers. Wish they coulda run the ball better, and wished the defensive line played better (no real pass rush, failed to dominate the line of scrimage) Everything else pretty much went as planned playing a DIv. II team. Big shout out to Jake Standeford!! The kids a player....need more like him. Big step up next week VS. the Chipawas on Cowboy day.

Central Michigan (WIN) 45 - 22 - 18 - 17 in last 35 games (.514%) Great first half (seems to be a theme) gave up a ton of yards in the second half.

@Minnesota (WIN) 45 - 31 - 19 - 17 in last 36 games (.527%) Great First half, horrible second half.

Notre Dame (WIN) 33 - 19 - 20 - 17 in last 37 games (.540%) Great first half, awful second half. Charlies own players suck, needs Tyrones kids to be decent maybe that will change but for now the genius all knowing fat charlie is going lead Notre Dame to their worst record in like 2000 years.

Ohio State (LOSS) 23 - 7 - 20 - 18 in last 38 games (.526%) Almost as many ohio State fans in Ross Ade as Purdue Fans. Koodos to the student section and the black out inflatable member floating around. Curtis Painter is who we (as in those who are weary of the hype machine) thought he was. Offensive line was poor. Defense showed up. STILL cannot beat a good team. Whats that - like four years or something since the Purdue football team deserved respect? But more importantly our ticket prices can compete at a very high level with nice victories in the price department over Ohio State, Michigan, LSU, Texas, USC, Florida....well we win as much as they do right?????

@Michigan (LOSS) 48 - 21 - 20 - 19 in last 39 games (.512%) Stay with Tiller and Burke BOILER UP mantra. Expect to lose to good team - expect to beat (or be competitive) with bad teams - expect to make money off the loyal Purdue fans - expect to not care about a bowl game (except the money part of course) and expect to talk all offseason about some problem you are correcting that will make next year bigger and better then ever so you can sell lots of tickets. Contact GBI or the Purdue Sports an information department for help (or where to send money)

Purdue 31 - Iowa 6 - 21 - 19 in last 40 games (.525%) Iowa has no QB

Purdue 35 - Northwestern 17 - 22 - 19 in last 41 games (.536%) any pressure @ all on Painter and he blows. Defense has really played well the last two weeks. Can we do it against a good team? Penn State looms.

Penn State 26 - Purdue 19 - 22 - 20 in last 42 games (.523%) Next game VS a good team - the Bowl game. Next Loss - The Bowl game. Don't be a naysayer! Expect to lose! Stop being unrealistic! Boiler Up More!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michigan State 48 - Purdue 31 - 22 - 21 in last 43 games (.511%) Well now we are losing to bad teams?? Oy dudes what next season ticket price increase? Boiler Up!!

Indiana (yes Indiana) 27 - Purdue 24 - 22 - 22 in last 44 games (.500%) Until the bowl game if there is one. Lose to Indiana and keep your job? Whats next season ticket price increases??? More Parking restrictions???? This Boiler Up shit is ruining the program. How long Morgan......How lon...oh forget it.

CMU (Motor City Bowl) (WIN) 51 - 48 - 23 - 22 in last 45 games (.511%) Painter looks all world against the MAC. Defense gives up 48 to mac team. Dustin Keller and Jake Standeford can leave Purdue with their heads held high. The Motor City bowl is better than nothing and a win is a win. Good Job Painter, Keller, Orton, Standeford. The defense sucked! Now line up to buy your over priced tickets to the fabulous Motor city bowl champions.

2006 Tailgates & Reports

ISU (WIN) 60-35 - 8 - 11 in last 19 games (.421%). Painter must get better at throwing the deep ball, or get J. Elliot in there! Serously we need to score evertime we have the ball. Defense is, once again, the week link. 1 SACK??? ONE are you kidding me???? The Lafayette Paper, which is soft, stated that if ISU scored 14 points we were in serious trouble. THEY SCORED 35!!!! I wonder how Purdue and Tiger Beat I mean GBI will spin it. Joe Tiller say's this is his best coaching staff yet, ok fellows, time to step it up! You make your best progress from the first game to the second, lets get it going on defense!!

Miami Of Ohio (WIN) 38-31- 9 - 11 in last 20 games (.450%). Painter, he had a higher rushing than passing average.  Not very easy to do unless you are playing the wishbone.  Overall, Purdue had a 6.1 yards / run average, maybe they should have kept the ball on the ground more.  As for the defense, Miami had three players throw / complete passes and nine guys catch passes.  I get the impression that the opposing band could move the ball through the air against us. Defensive backs must have a pass rush, Must!! All we can say is Coach, coach, coach! No new players are going to show up, there must be a huge upside to all thease young players. Need to excelerate the learning curve.

Ball State (WIN) 38 - 28 - 10 - 11 in last 21 games (.476) with a 6 game winning streak. When Painter looks good he looks great when he looks bad he throws pics. Lymon, Keller, and Orton had 18 catches for 299 yards. Defense looked faster this week, more pressure and keep Avril @ DE in passing situations, defensive backs still need help! Run the ball more! We wonder if all this passing against poor defensive teams is for Painters development or for the Minn. Def. coordinator to prepare for. Will we see two tightends and a conservative gameplan against the Gophers with the thought of running the ball and keeping our defense off the field? Mmmmmmmmmmm.

Minnesota (WIN) 27-21 - 11-11 in last 22 (.500) with a 7 game winning streak. I tell ya Dustin Keller is something @ TE. I hope and pray he stays healthy, that kid can play. Lets face it this is a big win for Purdue, I have no idea how good Minnesota is, but I think they are the best team we have played yet and if Painter was in synch more in the first couple of drives we coulda been up 2 TDs at half. I was real proud of the defense, played hard and fast. I am not sure you can ask for a lot more from them right now. Why the hell did Minnesota stop running the ball after their first drive?? The shove it down the Ds throat and score then turn into a WAC team? I know we can't defend the Pass, but when Minny's QB started to struggle some go back to who you are. Mason deserve somewhat of an assist on this win.

@ Notre Dame (Loss) 35 - 21 - 11 -12 in last 23 (.478) Jeez reading the Jounal and Courier youd have thought we won? Besides Anthony Spencer the D line is the worst since Colleto. Period! Brock Spack???? Make an adjustment BEFORE 35 points are handed over!!!! Joe Tiller said " They have 17 senior starters, we don't even have 17 Seniors. HE he he." Attrition kills this program at times. Purdue has recruited 21 players since 2002 who were designated as defensive tackles or ends. Eleven of the twenty-one either are no longer with the program or never even made it to school. IF Iowa dosent run 10 yards outs and score 35, in the first half, they never watched the game film. With Spack having his head in the sand, the offense needed to be perfect, of course they can't be, but we thought they played fine. ND not a very good defensive team tho.

@Iowa (LOSS) 47 - 17 - 11 - 13 in last 24 games (.458) Iowa starts as many freshman on defense as Purdue does. Nuff Said. This is the same Defense we saw against ISU. No improvement. Everytime the offense does not score it gives up a TD because of Spack and CO. Purdue needs a team to make many mistakes (or have Glenn Mason as a head coach) to have a shot @ winning. Iowa would have had to fumble 6 to 8 times for the boilers to keep it close. This was a BLOWOUT!! Why is the Iowa program light years ahead of Purdue's? I know Tiller would say its because they get 70,000 fans a game. If we lose to Northwestern it's time to hit the panic button. Iowa ave 8.6 yards per play.

@ Northerstern (WIN) 31 - 10 - 12 - 13 in last 25 games (.480) This was an important game. We wondered how far has this program slipped in the last 3 years. Are we the worst team in the Big Ten? After the Iowa game that seemed like a legitimate concern. Well "not so fast my friend". Northwestern is much worse then the Boilers right now. Purdue looked much faster, bigger and better coached then the Wildcats. The QB position was the most marked difference. Painter had a great day, found and open reciever whenever he needed. Hey Northwestern we are going to throw a Ten yard out to Orton now...and maybe you should double team that Spencer guy....just a thought. Tiller is at least beating the teams we thought he would this year. I am afraid Wisconsin might put up 50 next week. They look good so far. Good win for the Boilers.

Wisconsin (LOSS) 24 - 3 - 12 - 14 in last 26 games (.461) Are Purdue and the Purdue coaches happy where we are? I don't think the fans are. In 2001 Purdue said we are starting to compete with the big boys! SO...... Purdue said give money! Reseat the Stadium! Pay more every year for tickets! And Parking! Get first class facilities! GET ON BOARD!!........ WE DID!!!!!!! Now we can't compete with the middle of the big ten?? Is Purdue satisfied with where we are???? Why the hell did Purdue wear all black uniforms?? This week?? Not for the Purdue sactioned BLACK OUT ROSS ADE day???? What the ........

Penn State (LOSS) 12 - 0 - 12 - 15 in last 27 games (.444) Again the company line seems to be "Hey it could be a lot worse."..... I guess. Nothing of note to say about this game. Again a official BLACK OUT DAY and Purdue won't wear black pants?? But they will against Wisconsin??? Lots of things about this Purdue team confuse us. The defense is now playing better?? The offense sucks???? Who the hell knows.....We are tired of it Joe!

@ Michigan State (WIN) 17 - 15 - 13 - 15 in last 28 games (.464) First game of the year the defense played well. Again MSU is a poor team (lost to IU) The defense has been playing better in the last several games but better does not mean good. The defense's best play against Penn State was the dropped pass and PSU rushed for 240 yards so lets hold up the band wagon for that a little while longer. Painter makes huge mistakes, terrible sacks that would take any other team out of field goal range but with Summers as our kicker we have NO field goal range. Tiller finally makes a change at kicker and it works. We had a nice slip screen to Bryant set up and Painter throws to high, Orton makes a PRO move and gets inside the corner for a touch down and Painter throws it behind him. Curtis makes enough throws to beat a bad team. The defense makes enough stops to beat a bad team. Illinois and IU are bad teams.

@ Illinois (WIN) - 42 - 31 - 14 - 15 in last 29 games (.482) Lets stop all this right now - giving up 316 yards rushing is not playing well...OK. The Illini served it up and Purdue took advantage which is good. Keeping the ball out of Painters hand in the redzone unless running the option is a good idea. Good Job O line, Illinois has a heck of a run defense and Purdue was real tough and physical up front. Good Job defensive line - made plays when they could. Just like last year the Illini beat themselves at every turn. Turnovers and the two back set beat the Illini.

Indiana (WIN) - 28 - 19 - 15 - 15 in last 30 games (.500) Purdue keeps it's Bucket. With the way Painter was playing Joe Tiller is telling you one of three things. 1) He doesn't care about winning. 2) Its worth it because Painter will be 1st team all bigten next year. or 3) Joey Elliot is so bad that he couldnt play for an 0-11 junior high team. You decide. This defense gave up 505 yards to IU. The "defense is playing well" band wagon is going to stay in the garage for the rest of the year we think. 505 to IU??? If IU doesnt make mistakes all day long they win. Thats how bad Purdue played on offense. We knew we were bad on defense. This game was won by Jake Standerford's hustle. Will Purdue beat a winning team this year?

@ Hawaii (LOSS) 42 - 35 - 15 - 16 (.483) in last 31 games. The defense is playing well band wagon is in the barn up on blocks. Put it away until next year. Tiller hated this game. Told everyone so. Lose both starting tackles to injury. Give up 653 yards. Back under 500 in last 31 games. Lets have Hawaii come to Purdue in late november to play a game. Thats fair right? With Big Ten refs?

Champs Sports Bowl - Joe Tiller does not care and again we play like dog poo. Thanks coach. How long do we put up with it?

15 - 17 in last 32 games!

.468%

most coaches would not survive that.

2005 Tailgates & Reports

Akron (WIN) 49 - 24 -  Mmmmmm. OK game we guess. Looking at the stats we ran the ball 50 times for 211 yards and had 25 first downs. Thats good right? But had 5 fumbles only losing 1. We threw the ball ok. 23 of 36 for 267 yards and 2 TDs. All in all decent first game for the offense. The Defense? Poor. No pass rush against the worst line we will see all year, Kyle Smith and Sean Petty cannot cover a 2 dollar bet. Played about everyone we have, so thats something anyway. But need to get way better pressure on the opposing QB.

@Arizona (WIN) 31 - 24 - Still Running the option with good success. 45 rushes for 239 yards. Thats a 5.3 yard per carry ave. Still stopping the rush with good succes. 9 carries for 23 yards. Thats a 0.9 yard per carry ave. Minn. love to run the football. Better pass rush, same pass defense.

@Minnesota (LOSS) 42 - 35 - Purdue vaunted and hyped, HYPED, HYPED defense gets BITCH SLAPPED up and down the field. Coaches who know how to run the ball, run the ball! Coaches who don't run the option thingy.

This MUST be the last loss of the season to justify all the price increases and HYPE and CRAP we fans have to wade through year after year after year that comes spewing forth from the athletic dept.

Notre Dame (LOSS) - I not sure ND has stopped scoring yet. Well we are now 4-7 (.363%) in our last 11 games. With (If you buy the HYPE) the best collection of talent Purdue has ever had. Something is up. I wonder??? They base all the ticket prices and all the parking restrictions and all the cost increases (every year) on winning! 4-7??? Mmmmmmmm. Not winning now, are we.

Iowa (LOSS) 17 - 34. 4-8 (.333%) in last 12 games. Morgan Burke focus naturally turned to tailgaters durring thease trying times. I always suspected they felt we were more of a burden then a good thing, now I know. Way to put us in our place!! With Purdue taking away our fun outside of Ross Ade, I guess we will start winning inside of Ross Ade??? What the.....Purdue will never admit that they OVERSOLD lot D passes, so what does Purdue do? Blame the ones who love them the most!!!

Northwestern (LOSS) - 4-9 (.307%) in last 13 games. Over 600 yards of offense for the Cats. Lots of players don't care. It is the only thing we can come up with. Thanks for the memo Morgan.

@ Wisconsin. (LOSS) - 4-10 (.285%) in last 14 games. Wisconsin not real good. Purdue Plays ok against a poor offense. Let Curtis play.

@ Penn State (LOSS) - 4-11 (.266%) in last 15 games. Penn State a much better team. The QB position has really been lacking this year. Defense playing better.

Michigan State (WIN) - 5-11 (.312%) in last 16 games. No Way! WAY! Curtis played well, offensive line contiues to the highlight of this 2005 team and beleive it or not we are starting to get pressure on the apposing QB.

Illinois (WIN) - 6- 11 (.352%) in last 17 games. Illini beat them selves all day, offensive line still plays well. Beutiful day for mid November, just windy thats all. Kinda neat to see the defensive line play with some desire, where has that been??

@ IU in the Purdue Bucket Game. (WIN) 41 - 14. - 7 - 11 (.388%) in last 18 games. Purdue runs over hoosiers. Great Day, we keep our bucket, Nickovich is a machine, Painter continues to play well, seniors never lose the Purdue Bucket, So bad for IU that thier "coach" actually cried. Really he did. Win against the Loosiers does not a season make of course, but I like keeping Purdue's Bucket where it belongs.

5-6

2004 Tailgates & Reports

Syracuse (WIN) 51 - 0 - Are the Boilers REALLY that good? Is Syracuse REALLY that bad? Time will tell. Great Start! Everyone played well. Keep it rolling against Ball State.

Ball State (WIN) 59 - 7 - Boilers just roll. Looked like practice. There should be tougher games down the road.

Illinois (WIN) 38 - 30 - Looking ahead to ND?

Notre Dame (WIN) 41 - 16 - Tiller, Orton, Chaney make fools of Tyrone the arrogant.

HEY TYRONE WHAT KIND OF OFFENSE WAS THAT - ONE THAT LOSES?
WHAT KIND OF DEFENSE WAS THAT -
ONE THAT LOSES?
WHAT KIND OF SPECIAL TEAMS WAS THAT - ONE THAT LOSES?

HEY TYRONE WHAT KIND OF COACH ARE YOU - ONE THAT LOSES.
YOU ARROGANT MORON!! Now we know you are a Fired Coach!

Penn State (WIN) 20 - 13 / 5-0, lets go! Brock Spack and the D bring their "A" game! Does Jo Pa whine a lot?

Wisconsin (LOSS) - We said this last year, "Championship teams don't make mistakes, Purdue makes mistakes." Kyle Orton, Kyle Smith and Ben Jones complete the choking trifecta.

Michigan (LOSS) - Jee wizz, stop fumbling and win. If you had told me at the begining of the season that we would be 5-2 and the Defense would be carrying this team I would have thought you an IU grad.

Northwestern (LOSS) - God help us. Right now it looks like we need divine help to beat IU and goto the Motor City Bowl.

Iowa (LOSS) - Turnovers, special teams. Just like 2002

Ohio State (WIN) TURKEY RUBEN!! Complete game all around. Any time you beat a dirty program its sweet.

IU (WIN) Well, it looked like the boilers got out some frustration and decided to play to OUR strengths and throw throw throw. 64 pts and all kinds of records.

SUN BOWL (LOSS) - As we all know now, Tiller and Co. don't really take thease things that seriously, so we lose again. Sigh. Let this season be a lesson to all fans about buying into the Purdue Hype Machine. 5-0 to 7-5. All those players cramping up in 53 degree weather? Did we go to El Paso to win or to party? Raise all prices again?

2003 Tailgates & Reports

Bowling Green (LOSS)- Smaller slower MAC players wear down bigger faster BIG 10 players

Wake Forest (WIN) Three field goals! Defense hold at end!?

Arizona (WIN) Black uniforms waste the wildcats!

Notre Dame (WIN) WOW! ND has more yards and Purdue wins. Bout time we turned that around. Plus Tyrone is a so so coach at best, but his extreem arrogance makes Domers proud.

HEY TYRONE WHAT KIND OF OFFENSE WAS THAT - ONE THAT LOSES?
WHAT KIND OF DEFENSE WAS THAT - ONE THAT LOSES?
WHAT KIND OF SPECIAL TEAMS WAS THAT - ONE THAT LOSES?
YOU ARROGANT MORON!!

Illinois (WIN) Offensive line blows huge holes in a physically missmached Illini team. Defense keps playing to there potental.

Penn State (WIN) Great special teams play by Chambers, good offensive line play runs over Joe Pa.

Wisconsin (WIN) Orton and Jones move Boilers into 1st!

Michigan (LOSS) Purdue recievers are allways afraid of the big bad maize n blue. Allways.

Northwestern (WIN) Defense does its job, offense does its job, if that happens you should beat the mildcats.

Iowa (WIN) Very good line play, solid running by Void, nice play calling and above average offensive execution by Orton. Great special teams play as well.

Ohio State (LOSS) Championship teams don't make mistakes. Purdue makes mistakes.

IU (WIN) No emotion - No game plan - No fire - No problem.

UGA (LOSS) No D in the first quarter - No third down conversions in the first quarter. Awesome  comeback - need TWO gamebrakers. Joey Harris was one, thanks Joe.
