I don't know if you get the "Official Sports Report" from Purdue but they had a load of crap article about the game today that just got my blood boiling.  The article had the line below in it :

It was a decent pass by senior quarterback Joey Elliott and a fantastic play by Oregon defensive back Walter Thurmond III.
If by decent pass they mean it was right to the defensive player, yeah it was a decent pass for Oregon.  If Joey can't stop turning the ball over, they might as well give Terbush a try, its obvious we have a good offensive line, a good running game and the Big Ten sucks, so if we could get a QB that averages less than three TO's per game we might have a chance to go .500 or so.

Hey Tiller dont be talkin about our boy Kory! Just get out and let Kory do what he needs to do. At least Sheets is trying to win dipshit! Are you still here Joe?  Go ahead do the ol montrel Lowe on him...that would leave the perfect taste in our mouth asshole!

Joe Tiller rode off into the sunset 3 years ago...The results you see. Mistakes: Letting Jim Chaney leave...very good offensive coordinator - very good recruiter. Just because johny come lately fans that no NOTHING  about football did not like him is not the reason to let that happen, the program has been going down hill since! "Nice call Chaney" was the chant of an fool. Recruiting is the life blood of the program and Joe ran out of energy long ago. Can Hope turn it around? So far maybe not....but we will give him the benifit of the doubt for now. Fire the strength and conditioning coordinator. Purdue has been pushed around for far too long.  He should have never been brought here...but like spack a Tiller "buddie" Hope needs to take charge of this problem. Start Joey Elliot. Painter is over..."we realize this will put a severe dent into Painters Hiesman chances" But play for next year. We need Big TEn players NOT WAC kids and a Big TEn strength and conditioning coordinator NOW! Its way to early but maybe Paul Chryst was the way to go? Three more years of this and their is our answer.

@years as a starter and the back up needs to get ready for a MAC team? Not good! The defense is much better? They seem to not know how to tackle and are ranked 103 out of 119 in total defense....that includes a game VS. Northern Colorado - a division II team! Will we learn anything else playing fat charlie?

Will Danny Hope turn over the coaching staff after the season when daddy joe is gone? I wonder if he had to make some promises to Morgan Burke about some coaches ...cough..cough Spack..cough... in order to get the job over Paul Cryst? That will be intresting to watch. Who knows...maybe Spack will suprise us with his defense this year. I like Spack a lot but you have to win first, make friends second. Danny has 4 years to make Purdue better than what it is today. Gotta get that upper deck built. What about Danny's coaching buddies that he left behind?

How long Morgan.....How Long??

Now we know how long......A new hope in 2009. Joe lets go out in style.....A win over the ducks and another bowl win will do it! We are pulling for you! You can do iiitttttttttttttt!

Manage your expectations. I.E. Expect to lose. If Purdue loses and someone complains you MUST jump in their face and screem BOILER UP! over and over until they leave or their ears start to bleed.

Did not beat a team with a winning record, with Ohio St. and Michigan not on the schedule an 8-6 record = 6-8 in reality. Two years in a row Joe Tiller has a losing record. How long do we put up with it?? Once again The bowl opponet cared about the game and once again (sigh) Joe Tiller did not.

IU did not fire Sampson because he cheated. He was fired because he got caught...twice! Bobby could hit, choke, throw chairs, break phones, tell women to enjoy rape, swear at anyone he met, humilate anyone he wanted while he won a lot. The wins went south and he got fired. IU has no moral compas. indesputable FACT!
Some of Bobby Knight's highlights

Demonstrates to a reporter how he grabbed Neil Reed by the back of the neck to “reposition” him on the court. A couple days later “The Tape” comes out. OOPS!

Knocked out SID Kit Klingelhoffer

Injured son Tim Knight in an altercation

Punched and shoved tiny 60-something-year-old Ron Felling against the wall after eavesdropping on a phone conversation, fired him, and then releasing a lying press statement ? claiming Felling “resigned.”

Cursed out NCAA official after yet another opening round NCAA Tourney loss

Choked Neil Reed

Kicking a megaphone and cursing out IU cheerleaders for disrupting a Steve Alford free throw

Kicks at Pat Knight’s legs/chair, causing crowd to boo him, and Bob responded by cursing the crowd. Bob forced to issue an apology or be suspended

Shoots hunting buddy, flees the scene like a thief in the night, hunting buddy takes himself to hospital. Knight cited for hunting without a license. Hunting buddy later sues Knight.

Stupidly grabs student on campus by the arm and dresses him down, even though RMK knows he’s on zero tolerance

Fired by Indiana University.

Slugging a Puerto Rican Cop.

Fires gun at a reporter.

Choking the hippie guitar player.

Trying to attack Clarence Doninger and cursing him out in front of other people.

Throwing a vase at a secretary.

Slamming Jim Wisman in his chair so hard he got booed.

The crybaby routine against the Russians.

Knight taught Dave Bliss, Delray Brooks and Williams Gladness right from wrong.

Knight stands at midcourt, cursing Big 10 commissioner Wayne Duke for the lousy officiating in the Big 10.

The Chair.

The Great Alaskan Smokeout.

“A Season on the Brink”

14-13 on the court in ’76-77 with a starting lineup of Kent Benson, Mike Woodson, Butch Carter, Wayne Radford and Jim Wisman.

“If rape is inevitable, relax and enjoy it.”

Crybaby Knight threatens to go to New Mexico after the Connie Chung fiasco, because IU isn’t "supporting him."

Knight doesn’t get elected to Hall of Fame first time he’s eligible, and the crybaby tells the HOF to take his name off the ballot for the next year.

After extremely embarrassing loss to Purdue to close out the 1992 regular season, which cost IU the Big 10 championship and a number one seed, and angry Knight cancels the annual team banquet. Many IU officials are outraged and Chet Francis (a member of IU’s 1940 national champs) calls for Knight’s dismissal.

A week after Kentucky rallies from a 31 point deficit and wins, Knight, in a much closer game, pulls his starters and allows his team to take one of their most embarrassing losses in history at Minnesota, 106-56. Of course Bob was just “teaching.”

Steve Alford & Damon Bailey's books make it sound likea complete nightmare to play basketball for Knight.

Richard Mandeville's records get released, one day after he criticizes Knight on CNN. Knight and his people try to paint Mandeville as a drunk.

After Butch Carter criticizes Knight, Knight releases records on Carter, claiming Carter made all kinds of illegal phone calls while at IU. BTW, why wasn't that reported at the time?

Curses the general manager of the Compaq Center in Houston complaining about the small size of the locker room.

Kicks in TV during halftime tirade.

Knight caught on tape after a loss, screaming, cursing and threatening his team, talking about "I" constantly.

After a disciplinary controversy that involved his father speaking out againt Coach Knight, swingman Nick Valdez left the team. Also, it was later learned that the the student records of Valdez were released and ended up in the hands of some prominent businessmen in Texas.

Knight cancels Senior Night.

Knight goes on a profanity-filled tirade during an interview with ESPN's Fran Fraschilla, a former NCAA coach, when asked about a rift at one time in his relationship with Steve Alford.

Remember thease are only some of the things the Bloomington god did

Speaking of no morals Michigan had a appreciation day for Jalen Rose. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? What was their thinking...."Hey we had the highest payroll in sports and never won anything!" "You want cheaters....we got cheaters" "See how great we were when we cheated like hell!!!" What a sewer. Whats next a "Tractor Trailer and Grand ma ma hot dog eating contest" - "Free gold chains for all who enter...winner gets a $50,000 SUV!"  Any self respecting Michigan fan must have wanted to throw up.http://www.mlive.com/wolverines/academics/stories/index.ssf/2008/03/kinesiology_reserves_slots_for.html

Tool of the month (maybe of the year)
Terry Hutchens of the IU star.
To quote Terry:
"Hummel will be little more than a role player in college, guys who will struggle to ever average double figures."
Is it me or do ya think someone would have to actually know something about sports before they get a job "reporting" on them?????
Hummel was being recruited by hundreds of division 1 schools including IU, but you know better...yes yes...you are the only sane one....everyone should ask you your opinion....It must be awful trying to keep your nose up IU asses all the time for someone as intelligent as you or maybe thats why you have the job you do...mmmmmm? Not quite smart enough to do real reporting? Bet that hurts. Have to chase IU fans and tear down Purdue just to be able to afford TV dinners. What was the day like when you realized that you could not make it as a real reporter? That the only way you know if your doing your job right is the greasy pat on the back of your head by an IU fan?

Joe Tiller in the Lafayette J&C.

"I think we should expect to be competitive every time out," he said. But the point we have been making is that we are not competitive every time out! is Joe saying that he failed?... "Should we be expected to win every time out? That's a little unrealistic, for this program or any other program. So before the Ohio State or Michigan game Joe tells the team "Hey don't expect to win???????"  What the f..........!

Tiller also had some fun with a question about whether he thought many of Purdue's fans, not happy with the team going to the Motor City Bowl this season, "are spoiled a little bit with some of the success you've had?"

He responded with, "No. I think they're spoiled a lot. I don't think they're spoiled a little, I think they're spoiled a lot." Well we pay a hell of a lot so All I am going to say to this is happy trails coach.. maybe Hope will respect us a little more then you do...don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out!

Purdue fired the first shot.
Remember if Purdue is going to treat us like the team has won an average 10 games a year for the last 30 years then that is what we are going to demand. Kicked us off the Golf Course in 1996, kicked us off Slayter Hill in 2001, we bought into the club and pay every increase in tickets and parking and endure the fence and parking people. Remember the video on how to be a fan? My GOD was that humilating! "Now that we are winning this is how you clap". Could you belittle us any more? Yellow uniforms??? "True Purdue fans will get behind the uniform change." Tiller Said.... so now we are not even true Purdue fans? WTF....... Re Seated the stadium??? "I am sorry sir but we win way to much for someone of your uhhh financial situation to sit here any more....go on up to the endzone like a good boy" I can see the meeting in the AD department after the 1998 season..."Oh I think we can treat our loyal fans like shit now that we win....Well personally Ive been wanting to stick it to those damm tailgaters for years...OK all together now BOILER UP!!!!!" You want to treat your loyal fans like this? Fine. But you damm well better win like crazy or we are going to be pissed and demand change.Loyalty?? No no no....Purdue has taught us some harsh lessons about loyalty since Tiller has been here. Tell you what Purdue...go back to treating us the way you did in 1999...give us back our old seats...treat us tailgaters better and  stop raising ticket prices every year and 6-6,7-5,8-4, are just fine ....keep Tiller. Treat us like Purdue is the shit and then roll out this crap on the field and see the shit fly!  Purdue fired the first shot.
Lost to IU. Nothing needs to be said when you lose to the worst program in the bigten. Season Over. Remember if you are dissapointed in this loss you are a "Naysayer". Stop being "unrealistic". Just giggle and say "well at least its not the Colleto years" "Now lets all forget our troubles with a big bowl of strawberry ice cream". Sigh..................Did we really finish 9th in the Big Ten??? Really???????Morgan for god sakes.....How Long????????????
Is the Purdue football team getting better, staying the same or getting worse in Joe Tillers Tenure?
Purdue was 30 - 14 in Joe's first 44 games (19-9 in the Big Ten)
Purdue was 30 - 17 in Joe's next 47 games (19-11 in the Big Ten)
Purdue was 22 - 22 in Joe's last 44 games. Thank Heavens for Indiana State and Eastern Ill. for keeping Purdue @.500  (13-17 in the Big Ten)

 From the lafayette JandC:

Offensive line: Paging Zach Reckman and Justin Pierce. Please feel free to join your other linemen at anytime; they could really use your help. Wow, these two guards struggled and the others weren't much better. Whatever happened to the line everyone (no...not everyone....  just the "boiler up" people) was calling one of the best under Joe Tiller?

Coaching: Purdue was clearly not ready to play and that falls squarely on the shoulders of Tiller(No it dosent. Morgan Burke is the one to blame here for letting it go on and on and on and on....). How that happens in the biggest game of the season is a mystery(Again, no it is not, if you have watched this team since the Orton fumble their is NO mystery here). Purdue's season-ending three-game losing streak surely will not sit well with Purdue fans and their feelings about Tiller.

Quarterback: If Curtis Painter played the first 52 minutes like he did the final 8, maybe (There is no "maybe" about it. Purdue would have rolled the hoosiers.) Purdue would have left Bloomington with a victory. Painter has almost single-handedly been the main reason (Joe dosent want to replace him?...or coach him...)this team finished with three losses in games they could have won if he played just a tad better. (True...Painter is who Painter is....year after year after year....but we knew that too..and so did you... and everyone else.... if they have followed Purdue durring his career!)

GBI Reporter : Coach Tiller, Purdue has third and goal from the one yard line to go up by
fourteen points in the first quarer, what do the Boilers do?.
Coach TIller  :  We pee down the side of our leg.  Boy doesn't that warm pee feel good
on a cool fall afternoon infront of 90,000+ fans.
GBI Reporter : At least we've finally found our kicker?.
Coach Tiller  : Yes, that and going to another bowl game and getting blown out in the first
quarter was one of two main goals for this year.

We need to get much bigger and stronger.5 - 0.  We are much bigger and stronger. Enter two good teams 0 - 2. We got out mucled.

Well we think we see where The Hype machine is starting to settle on this Purdue football issue :"A win over Iowa will get Purdue bowl eligible .........Back in 1996 you would've taken that right"? "What more can be asked? They are who they are. Nothing more nothing less". Translation: Boiler Up you Bastards! Remember Coleto?? Be happy with what you have! "Losing to those it should". I don't want to lose to anyone. Jeezus even Eastern Michigan competed with Michigan!
"The Boilermakers will continue beating the teams they're supposed to beat. The problem is thats no longer good enough for SOME. It begs the question, should it be? REALISTS (I love THAT word) say its a lot better than what used to be the norm in West Lafayette. Is it not?" Translation: SHUT THE HELL UP YOU UNREALISTIC ASSHOLES!! Just Boiler UP a lot more!!!!! In the same edition of the THE AUTHORITY ON PURDUE ATHLETICS it has a nice artical about Purdue almost winning a national title in 66 and 67. By the way ummmm your ughhh tickets and ahem parking uhhhhh passes and all are going to uhhhhhhh....ahem uhhh go up again this year.......BOILER UP!!!!!!!!!!!

How can you be a Fan magazine and THE AUTHORITY ON PURDUE ATHLETICS!!?
We wonder if GBI still thinks it might be time to get excited?
Even Eastern Michigan competed @ Michigan. Rumors abound about Tiller not showing up for practices anymore. Again just rumors.

Well the Boilers are 2-0 and looking fairly good. Really good on offense! Somewhat average on defense. Need more pass rush and much better tackling. 2-0 against poor competion is still 2-0. A recent headline in Gold and Black Illustrated asked if it was time to get excited? Mmmmm....Not yet. Remember Two years ago when we really strugled to get to an 5-6 record and GBI said aparently we were all duped? Well lots of people duped themselves that year (we included - but we did not blame anyone else) and I worry that they might be setting themselves up to be dupped again. Be ever watchfull of the Purdue Hype Machine (that includes you GBI)

This we know
...Michigan fans will be pissed.
...OSU fans will be happy.
...Wisconsin's defense does not look that good.
...Illinois still looks bad.
...Hopefully ND will continue to play poorly.

MIKE VICK - DOG FIGHTER!! Do ya think this would be ANOTHER shot across the mighty bow of ESPN....Let report on sports! Not define sports cultural Icons for us! Is Mike Terico on suicide watch yet? Lets see around the year 2000 all I heard on ESPN was "Mike Vick is the new golden GOD!!" "Yeah Mike he is sooooooo awesome" "As I gazed up lovenly into Mr. Vicks eyes I felt such warm joy in my loins......"

THE GOATEE IS THE NEW MULLET - FIRST WORDS OUT OF A GOATEE...."LAST NIGHT ON AMERICAN CHOPPER....."
Mountain deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww rrrruuuuuullllllllllleeeees!!!!!!!!!

1/04/07 Special thanks to all the hairdoos and mens wearhouse suits at ESPN for getting Notre Dame into the BCS bowl game. What a great game! 41 to 14! you guys AGAIN were right on the money! Notre Dame Number 1, Brady will win the hiesman! What great football games you guys manufacture. Thanks....really...thanks so much.......
1/04/07
GBI : Purdue wasn't planning on recruiting a kicker this year. ?????? What The F*&%!!!!! That is, until it saw Ohio's Aaron Bates (pictured) at its camp this summer. Now, the Boilermaker coaches have a place for Bates and are eager to host him for a visit in coming weeks.  This absolutley floors me. We don't need a kicker?? Does Joe Tiller not realize that you get three points for a field goal?????
12/19/06
Tiller won't change bowl preperations. I guess I am glad he said so before I bought tickets. If Purdue holds true to form, they will roll out the ball in the first half and go "Yeah we are in a bowl!" Then Purdue will decide to play and get back into it only to cramp up and lose at the end. Really should we expect anything different? 12/29/06 - nope thats what happened!
11/21/06
Think Tiller is getting the Boilers fired up to play Hawaii? To Qoute
"I never wanted this game and still don't," Purdue coach Joe Tiller said Sunday. Well if he don't care it will be ugly.
11/12/06
On the secodary: "Who would of thought by the end of the season these guys would be the defense's best unit?" Brendan Murphy lafayette J and C Oh...my ...god. This must be a type O. He says they are like "Fine Wine" I have no response to that. I guess he has never watched football before. Its the only thing I can come up with.
 11/06/06
Lets hold off on the "Defense is playing real well now...." stuff. Giving up 240 yards rushing is not playing well. Are they better? Yes. Could they have been worse? No. Run the ball more both Sheets and Taylor have good yards per cary ave. Need to take the ball out of Painters hand more often. Painter is good some plays, awful others. I don't like the idea of relying on the QB postion just yet to win games. Lets run more and eat clock thease next two games.
 10/22/06
Are Purdue administration happy with were the Purdue football team is? If the fans are not but Purdue and GBI are who wins? It seams the Purdue coaches and athletice staff don't realize that Purdue fans KNOW BAD FOOTBALL. Attendance will drop.....You can't fool us forever. Is there a magical attendace number that gets Joe Fired? Are we all to scared that if we fire Joe it could get worse? All I know is that this is the worst football since he has been here. And being a Purdue fan I Know Bad football!!!
10/08/06
Iowa ave. 8.6 yards per play. Perhaps its time for Tiller to revert back to the late 90's and have 80% of the personel decisions favor the defense. Dorien Bryant...sorry need a corner/punt returner. J. Taylor...sorry need a safety. Robbie Powel and Uche Nwaneri....gotta have defensive tackles. J. Keller....need another rush end. I don't want to see that, but I don't want to see the worst defense in the ncaa either.
10/02/06

"I got after them a little bit at halftime.'' Spack said of his young defense. "I don't know what it was in the first half, but I just didn't think we believed we could play here. That really bothered me." That bothered the sh*t out of us too! Why wait until halftime when you are getting killed?? ND scores 4 out of 5 times they have the ball then you think maybe you should get after them? What??

10/01/06
Qoutes from the Lafayette J and C
Joe Tiller " We didn't know if they would come out running the ball....Going into a football game you structure your defense accordingly and then try to figure out what they are doing...."  Jand C headline: Irish offensive plan no suprise. That should read "Irish offensive plan only suprising to Purdue coaches"
10/01/06
Pat Haden's comments were on the mark: "If Brady Quinn wins the Heisman he should take the Boilermaker defense and defensive backs with him."  Perhaps Spack should go as well. That trophey aint gonna polish itself.
 9/27/06
Tiller of attacking Notre Dame's defense and watching Michigan State's spread offense on film, "We have a different talent level that Michigan State has. Michigan State burnt them early with some vertical stuff. While we'd like to be a vertical passing team we're not there yet." But Nuebert says thease are all NFL GUYS??? 9 years in the making? I don't think the vertical passing game is coming.
 9/25/06
B. Nubert of GBI says 10 of 11 starters on offense are going to play in the NFL. WOW! Should have the #1 offense in the NCAA! J. Standeford started against Minn., its him isnt it?
 9/20/06
Its one thing to be an underdog to Michigan or ND at home, but Minnesota???.  We
could be in for a long year if we don't win this game.  Outside of IU and UI, we
may not be favored for the rest of the year.  Maybe PSU?.  NU may not be very
good, but they know how to pass the ball and we have to play them on the road.
9/18/06
Tiller said. "Defensively, we made improvement in the secondary, and we got some heat on the quarterback."  The defense limited Ball State's potent passing game to 291 yards, while registering four sacks. The Lafayette J and C.  Wow giving up 291 yards is limiting an opponet nowadays? Indiana University (which lost to a division two team last week) only gave up 246 passing yards to Ball State. WOW. GO IU I guess, thats impressive!
 9/17/06
35...31...28...at least it looks like the trend is improving.  I just don't see how our defense has gotten this bad in the last two years?.  We had a string there of three or four years were we had decent defense, now we can't defend the pass to save our lives (291 yards passing against Ball U).  Maybe we should have made more changes on the defensive coaching staff instead of the offensive.

As for Painter, he really needs to cut down on his turnovers.  Not only does he make too many, but he always seems to make them in bad spots, either deep in our end of the field leaving them with little distance to move the ball to score or deep in their end of the field, leaving us just short of a score.
 9/17/06
"Once again, we fell for it. The Notre-Dame-is-back malarkey. The Irish-are-national-title-bound nonsense. I bought it. Maybe you bought it. How could you avoid it after watching how Notre Dame dismantled Penn State last week?" bob kravitz Indy Star.
You did not fall for it! You did not buy it!!! You Sold it!! What yer a victim of Notre Dame Hype? You sell Wies like he invented offense! Talk about duck and cover! "Really! I swear,  its not my fault......uhh  an older boy told me to do it..... Honest!"  Wuss.

9/17/06

Michigan is sorry, to the billions and billions of Notre Dame fa..I mean sports writers and hairdoos @ espn for hurting Brady Quinn's Heisman shot. Trey Wingos head almost fell off last night trying to spin ND back into the National Championship game. Honestly you could see the spit fly out of his mouth.....his ty was all askew....hair rumpled....a dark spot betwenn his legs.....here's a tip: know something about football, if you can't be level headed when you see ND get another job. You look like an ass! Really you must see it? Fool is all you are!

9/13/06

"(My advice to you) would be to get off the Internet." Joe Tiller in the Lafayette J and C
